Eddie joined Beltone 39 years ago, working alongside his mother, Lynn Ledford, who started the business in 1979. With a Finance degree from The Ohio State University, he has enjoyed growing the family business. As a Board-Certified Licensed Hearing Specialist and member of the International Hearing Society, Eddie is committed to exceptional patient care. He values patient relationships and credits their trust, along with his dedicated staff, for the success of his business.

Carolyn Ekes
Vice President

As Vice President of Beltone Ledford, Carolyn Ekes oversees day-to-day operations, including accounting, HR, finance, recruiting, and training. With nearly two decades at the company, her background in Mass Communications from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and experience as a Paralegal gives her a strong understanding of complex legal and financial documents. She ensures compliance with regulations and is a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist who enjoys working with patients when needed.

Rene Alvarez joined Beltone Ledford in 2014, serving patients in both the Hampton and Gloucester offices. A licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, he has been recognized as a Master Practitioner with Beltone since 2019. Rene's proudest achievement is serving as a United States Marine. With a passion for helping others, Rene is dedicated to providing personalized hearing solutions and building strong relationships with patients and their families.

Violet is the first point of contact for Beltone Ledford, handling all scheduling, financing and administrative duties that are essential to keep day to day activities running smoothly. She always takes a personal interest in our patients and goes out of her way to make them feel cared for. This commitment to caring for our patients as part of her own family is what really sets Violet apart as a valuable, special member of our team.

Mikaela Yarick

Mikeala Yarick

Mikeala has been a part of the Beltone family for 11 years, starting her journey with Beltone in Virginia Beach before joining our team on the Peninsula. She has been a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist since 2016 and loves helping people hear better.

Mikeala has a beautiful 8 year old daughter Lily and an adorable son Jackson who will turn 4 this year. Mikeala is very involved with her daughter’s school and is the commissioner of the modified coach pitch softball league in Hampton. She is also very involved with her church conducting kindergarten and first grade church services. In her free time Mikeala and her husband like to kayak, fish, and garden.
